Spread over a headland, Six Senses Samui enjoys one of the top locations on Koh Samui. The 66 villas flow down both sides of its hill, facing both sunsets and sunrises. The sunrise side of the hill runs down to the private beach of Samrong Bay.

The reception, main restaurant and swimming pool lie on the opposite side, enjoying some of Samui’s most spectacular sunset views across water and the island’s north shore. The evening restaurant, Dining on the Rocks, is one of the most daringly-designed restaurants on Samui – see the photos. It’s both a spectacular and romantic spot in which to enjoy full moon dining.
Six Senses is famed for stylish luxury and personalized service, and this Samui property works to maintain such standards. The villas are lavish within, and angled for privacy and excellent views.
While providing a real sense of isolation within, this resort is just 5 minutes’ drive from Samui airport and 10 minutes from the nightlife and restaurant centres of Chaweng and Bophut.

restaurants

Six Senses Samui has a reputation for fine dining in both of its restaurants, Dining on the Hill and Dining on the Rocks. A sumptuous breakfast buffet is served in the former, along with a-la-carte lunch. From the elevation of this hillside restaurant guests enjoy delightful views along Samui’s northern coast. The resort outdoes itself, and most restaurants on the island, when the weather shines and guests can dine open-air, and preferably under moonlight, in the spectacular Dining on the Rocks restaurant. Built to hang high out over the rocky headland with few barriers, this restaurant gives guests a sense of proximity to clouds, moon and stars.

And with the Six Senses name behind it, Dining on the Rocks is famed for serving some of Samui’s best cuisine, often garnished with fresh herbs and vegetables from the resort’s own garden.
From further afield, both restaurants serve a good selection of wines from some of the world’s most respected vineyards.

Dining on the Rocks

The award-winning restaurant of Six Senses Samui, Dining on the Rocks, established its reputation and fame by offering New Asian Cuisine coupled with a stunning panoramic view over the Gulf of Siam.

Raising the bar even higher, the latest innovation to come out of the kitchen is called Modern Interpretive Cuisine. Tried, trusted, original recipes are given a new slant in imaginative ways; so what you think you are getting is not that at all. Dishes are reconstructed to be both visually and texturally appealing. Taste and a focus on fresh, wholesome, local ingredients are tantamount in importance.

The restaurant architecture is unique in that it consists of ten terraced decks of weathered teak and bamboo, combining open air and covered seating areas. The view is an uninterrupted 270 degree panorama of the surrounding islands and ocean.
